For people who aren't available to video-conference in because they're on the go, behind a firewall, or don't have access to high-speed internet, there's a dial-in option!
Dial-In from within the Conference Room
If you prefer to watch the conference while dialing in, or you are not able to get your camera or microphone to work, you can dial in from your devices.
Here's how you do it on an iPhone:
1. In the app, go to Events. Look for the specific event. Click on the "Dial In" button. At the bottom of the screen, you will see the telephone number and other info needed to dial in.
If you're within 24 hours of the event you need to join, Dial-In information will be available in the event page under the Details tab. Prior to that, dial-in information will not be available.
The info above is an example only.
Here's how you do it on a computer
-
If the event has started, enter the virtual event.
- Click the Settings Icon (the little gear at the bottom of the screen).
- You will see a box with various audio/video options. Click "Dial-In Audio" and follow the instructions.
- Once connected, click the X to close the settings window in the top right corner of the screen and you can now watch the conference while dialed in.
- Remember to mute yourself on your phone when not talking or participating.
*Note that it can take up to 30 seconds for you to get connected to the conference room.
When dialing in, there is no ability to change volume, mute, etc from the Host Control Panel. The participant must use the volume and mute controls on their own device or cellphone.
